We’ve been fans of Kevin Morby for years, his deadpan vocals deliver poetry that combines with his West Texas upbringing. It’s a refreshing sound that produces an atmospheric twang with an overlay of narrative storytelling. As an added bonus, he has been dating Waxahatchee front woman Katie Crutchfield and they have been combining forces in their work over the pandemic. To ring in the new year, we are resurfacing ‘This is a Photograph’, Morby’s 2022 album release, for some re-listening.
